Q4 Called. It Wants a Better Social Strategy.
October has entered the chat, which means Q4 is officially ON.
And before you mentally fast-forward to December and tell yourself you’ll “sort the socials next year”... absolutely not.
The final three months of the year are prime marketing real estate. People are scrolling, shopping, planning and spending, while every brand on your feed is fighting for a slice of their attention.
So, no. This isn’t your sign to post more. It’s your sign to post smarter.
At TMG, we don’t believe in filling feeds for the sake of it. Every piece of content should have a job, whether that’s getting you noticed, building connection, nurturing your audience or making the sale.
Consider this your Q4 social reset, minus the generic “just be consistent” advice.
1. Start With the Receipts
Before planning the next three months, look at the last nine.
Your analytics are basically your audience telling you exactly what they want more of. So listen.
What got saved? Shared? Clicked? What drove enquiries or sales? Which topics kept hitting? What looked great but... did absolutely nothing?
Your best-performing content is leaving clues.
Don’t start Q4 from scratch when you already have nine months of receipts.
Data first. Creative flair second. That’s where the good stuff happens.
2. Give Every Post a Job
Say it with us:
“We need to post something” is not a strategy.
Q4 gets noisy. Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas, summer campaigns, launches, gift guides, sales.
Suddenly every brand is yelling BUY THIS!!!
Before adding another post to the calendar, ask yourself:
What do we actually want this content to do?
Build awareness? Create connection? Educate? Answer an objection? Drive someone to the website? Make the sale?
Not every post needs to sell, but every post should lead somewhere.
You’re not filling a feed. You’re moving people from “Who’s this?” to “Shut up and take my money.”
3. Warm Them Up Before You Sell
Got a big November sale? Christmas campaign? Summer launch?
Please don't wait until launch day to start talking about it.
Use October to build the story.
Take people behind the scenes. Introduce the problem your product solves. Show the product in action. Answer FAQs. Share testimonials. Drop hints. Build anticipation.
Then, when it's finally time to say SHOP NOW, your audience already knows why they should care.
Because conversion rarely starts with the sales post.
It starts with everything you shared before it.
4. Make Your Brand Worth Remembering
Q4 feeds can start looking a little... copy, paste, repeat.
Same trends. Same graphics. Same sales messaging. Different logo.
Give us something to remember.
Your humour. Your founder. Your team. Your customers. Your opinions. Your visual world. Your weird little brand quirks.
Use trends when they make sense, but don't let them become your entire personality.
TMG is all about creative thinking with real charisma. Your content shouldn't just look good, it should actually feel like you.
5. Fix the Scroll-to-Sale Journey
Picture this.
Someone sees your Reel. Loves it. Taps your profile.
Now what?
Can they immediately tell what you do? Are your pinned posts doing their job? Is your offer obvious? Can they find the right link? Is there enough proof to make them trust you?
Or have you accidentally sent a potential customer on a digital scavenger hunt?
Before Q4 gets properly busy, give your socials a quick conversion check.
Scroll. Click. Trust. Buy.
Make the next step obvious.
6. Remember Who You're Actually Creating For
Yes, hooks matter. Watch time matters. Trends matter.
But behind every metric is a person deciding whether your content deserves another second of their attention.
Make them laugh. Teach them something. Solve a problem. Show them something they didn't know. Create the post they immediately send to the group chat with “THIS.”
Algorithms distribute content.
People make it work.
And people-first social will win over posting-for-the-algorithm every time.
7. Don't Q4 Yourself Into Burnout
You do not need to enter December with 47 Canva tabs open and a Christmas Reel still waiting to be filmed.
Plan the big moments now. Batch what you can. Repurpose the good stuff. Leave space for reactive ideas.
Your strategy should make marketing feel clearer, not more chaotic.
Because more content isn't always better content.
And a sustainable strategy beats panic-posting every time.
Q4 Isn't the Finish Line. It's Your Runway.
Yes, we want you to finish the year strong.
But we also want everything you do now to make next year stronger.
The content that performs becomes insight. The people who discover you become an audience to nurture. The campaigns you run teach you what to do more of next year.
So don't spend Q4 simply trying to keep up.
Use it to get ahead.
Post with purpose. Create with charisma. Let the data lead. And make every scroll count.
Because at TMG, we don't just do socials.
We make socials sell.
